2025 CVAA Scholarship Art Show is Another Success!

The Carson Valley Art Association (CVAA) recently showcased the creativity of more than 50 local artists during its annual Scholarship Art Show, held November 7–9 at the CVIC Hall in Minden. This year’s exhibition featured 128 exceptional pieces of art representing a wide range of styles and media. Most entries came from artists in Carson Valley and Eagle Valley, with additional contributions from Reno and Fernley.

Several of the entries were submitted by non-CVAA members, and a few artists were participating in a CVAA show for the first time, making this year’s event especially vibrant and diverse. The free, three-day show included a wonderful reception with music by Christian McNamara and a raffle supporting CVAA’s scholarship fund for local artists.

Artwork was judged across eight media categories: acrylic, water media, mixed media, photography, oil, 3D art, dry media, and other.

Judges Teri Sweeney and Roger Kinnerman praised the exhibit, describing it as “wonderfully diverse” and noting that “the artists’ submissions provided quite a challenge, as there were so many lovely pieces.”

The Carson Valley Art Association extends heartfelt thanks to the community, artists, and visitors for their continued support of this annual fundraising event—and for helping to promote and celebrate the arts in our region.
